The forecast for weather and wind conditions was good on April 29, 2024.

But unfortunately the wind forecasts had gone down and now the normal sea winds were only supposed to occur at the obligatory times between 12 and 1 p.m. 12 – 14 knots were predicted so very good conditions for the lighter kiteboarders.

But the wind forecast and also the wind changed at 9 a.m. and suddenly from 10 a.m. wind was announced from the northwest.

but then it became a northeast wind which then turned to a southeasterly wind – with a beautiful and perfect 16-18 accounts – ideal for all kitesurfing levels, beginners, advanced and also for the many specialists who had traveled there.

From 10 a.m. the gusts came in and as the day went on the winds became more and more consistent and continuous with the wind direction north to northwest.

At around midday around 12 p.m. the wind turned southeast with gusts of up to 20 knots.

The temperatures rose to a pleasant 27 degrees – ideal for a lot of fun kiting.

As the afternoon progressed, the wind steadily weakened.

With the summer temperatures, the evening was a lot of fun eating and drinking in the many Kite sports and restaurants too and the famous sunset (“Tramonto”) in the west, with a view of the islands of Isola Grande, San Pantaleo – Mozia, Santa Maria, La Scuola But the large offshore Egadi islands of Favignana, Levanzo and Marettimo also lived up to its popularity.
